The Gaiety Theatre
The Gaiety Theatre is located on South King Street in Dublin, a short stroll from the main shopping district of Grafton Street & St Stephens Green. It specialises in operatic and musical productions, with occassional dramatic shows. Designed by architect C.J Phipps the Gaiety has a capacity of 2,000 and was originally opened in 1871.The Gaiety is know for its annual Christmas pantomime which it has hosted since 1974.
